A decade is over, and what have I done?
373 games, created a new blogging script for here, rewritten the Socoder forum, started a few new sites and more!
Oh, and a brain tumour!
It's been a wild and crazy decade, and over the next few days I'll be looking back at the best (and worst) games from the decade.

You can Download the "Gold - 10" collection from itch.io. It has 11 games in it, one for each of the 10 years I've been doing this..!?!

That's 10 more games than there are weeks in the year!
..although, that's a teensy bit of a cheat.
Technically, I've released 31 games,this year, but Future Classics is 7 games in one, and Alpha Collexion is 26 games in one, so when you add them all up, you get a nice big lovely number!!

You may have noticed a slight lack of gaming over the past couple of months. Usually I cut down on AGameAWeek during the closing months of a year, and instead focus on a larger project, but over the course of this year I've already tackled a number of larger projects.
Blockman Worlds, JNK Bombers, Future Classics.. They've all been substantially larger than my standard weekly output.
As such, I'm actually struggling to come up with a decent "end of year project" that would be worth tackling.

This week, there will be no AGameAWeek..
After the complete and utter chaos of Future Classics (7 games written in 48 hours) and Blockman Worlds (3,000 levels, 9 worlds, crammed into a week!) I've decided that I need a bit of a break!
Next week, we'll be back to our normal schedule, and I guess I have to make a "Platdude In" game, this month, so it'll be something Platdude related.

Yesterday I tweeted that Blockman Worlds isn't doing too well, at which point I got bombarded by people telling me that they've played it, and how I oughta give it time to spread.
Yeah, probably..
Thing is, though, I'm finding myself comparing it to Future Classics..

What would happen if someone in the past was given a list of modern day videogame titles?
What kind of games would they imagine from far off in their future?
And what sort of games would they create, on their retro-tastic 8-bit home computers!?

This week I've decided to resurrect the classic "(URL "https://AGameAWeek.com/GameList.php?ShowJust=108">Future Classics)".
In the spirit of the original, this collection will be made up of short minigames, each one taking the title from a current-gen game, but being created in the spirit of an 8-bit "rubbish" game.
It's been one heck of a challenge to get the game up and running in such a short amount of time, so the initial release will be OUYA/Windows/HTML5 just like Boxsplodings, relying ...

And since the Jayenkai Archive goes way back to 2002, they're not just from AGameAWeek. Some of these games go right back to days before AGameAWeek was even a plausible consideration!

I'm sat here at 11pm on Sunday night, trying to think of a game for Tuesday.
It's not happening..
I've spent all week long adding games to the archive. That's to say, I've spent all week playing all my old games, and having a whale of a time..
I guess that has a disadvantage, being that I haven't coded jack all, all week.
